The Tram was set in services in 1992 on conventional gauge monitor with fashionable automobiles, connecting Sirkeci with Topkapi. The line was extended on a person stop from Topkapi to Zeytinburnu in March 1994 and, on one other stop from Sirkeci to Eminönü in April 1996.
